i was thinking about this question recently after being at the meeting when new pioneers were announced for the 2013 service year.. we have a dozen or so pioneers in the congregation, and most are in their 20's.
some absolutely love the things they are taught and can't wait to spread the good news.. others in the congregation are going through the motions, tired of hearing the same old same old but have no way to change things now.
then there are a couple like me.
The average age seems to be around 30.
By that time, you've started to figure out what you really want in life, and have the maturity and experience to question things you previously took for granted.
Many of the younger generation (teens/early 20s) seem to be "waking up" earlier than we did before, and I think the internet is a large part of that.

Just saying it needs to be kept in mind to avoid the temptation to handle it like its a Porky's or American Pie flick.

i am acting as an in-between for a good friend who is not part of this site.
his family were a century involved in the wtbts in the lower bc mainland; not to mention nw washington state.. he is no longer a member of the jw's.
we're great friends; i knew him 25 years ago, long before i discovered this site (love it simon: yes, still all those years later).. anyways, he wants to get rid of bound volumes from approximately from the years: 1940 - until - 2000.. he asked me to intervene.
If your friend doesn't get any takers for the bound volumes now, please encourage him to hold on to them until someone turns up.
It might take up to several months until the right person turns up to take the books off his hands. I just hope he doesn't throw them out - it would be such a waste, particularly of the older volumes.

And yes, it has everything to do with sex. The Watchtower has printed articles about using caution because a convert could have contracted a VD or even AIDS and pass it on to their JW mate. They also use STDs as a reason to be wary of those who were born in, left, then came back to the Borg. The society was pushing converts getting tested for STDs before getting serious with any JW.

As a born-in female I was aware of the same reasoning. Born-ins were considered more pure than a convert was. And less likely to go into the world than a convert was.

Do you really believe the JWs have "the truth"? Are you serving men or Jehovah? Or are you trying to impress a gal?
terry was admitted to the hospital yesterday.
he has a severe case of cellulites which has affected his neck glands.
his face and neck are very swollen.
Take it easy and enjoy the drugs, LOL!
